私はずっとカナダに行きたいと思っていました。けれどホームステイはとても不安で，１つでも多くの構文を覚えていこうと必死でした。しかし構文を使うことは本当に少なかったです。それは構文が会話に必要じゃないという意味ではなく，会話はその場の感情や表情に大きく左右されるということです。思い切ってカナダに行ってそんなことを感じました。大変有意義な経験でした。

Answer from my Canadian Family:

I didn't ask these questions to my host family but I think ...

(1) they have been to Japan before so they know many things about Japan. For example, they knew about furikake, umaibon and how to use hashi.

(2) We went to Capirano Bridge. It was a very beautiful place.

(3) They always said "Please say anything! Don't worry!" So I think it is important to talk with your host family.

私にとってカナダのホームステイは初めての経験でした。カナダは日本よりずっと広く，気温も低くクーラーとも無縁で，上着をはおらなければ寒いという日もしばしばありました。また夏はとても日が長く，９時過ぎまで昼のようでした。そのため私のステイ先の子ども達は庭の遊具でずっと遊んでいました。カナダはとても自然が豊かで，リスもあちこちで見かけることができ，そんな自然の中で子ども達はのびのびと生活しているようでした。

(1) Q: What do you know about Japan?
A: We know that everything is expensive in Japan. We want to go to Japan someday.

(2) Q: What was your best memory of this week?
A: We went to a very beautiful lake. There were many mountains. The water was very clean so we could swim in it.

(3) Q: What do you think is the best key to the success of a homestay?
A: I think we have to communicate with each other. You must say how you feel. If you are thinking "no" you have to say "no".
